Key Performance Areas (KPAs)Strategy and management

  • Achieve new customer acquisition, attrition and reactivation targets
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies to exceed new customer numbers
  • Conceptualise go to marketing strategies for new product launches
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement and identify other digital marketing channels to further generate traffic and revenue
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Oversee all outsourced programs, vendors and partnerships to ensure performance goals and agreements are met, as well as incremental opportunities identified and captured
  • Manage and lead a team of internal marketing resources in a Player-Coach style of role

 Planning and campaign implementation

  • Establish monthly targets for marketing program; monitor & optimize campaigns to exceed plans
  • Responsible for the alignment of credit strategy with the business strategy for the company
  • Ensure that key forecasting variables are credible in the business plan and are assessed timeously
  • Ensure business plan projections are credible from an operational perspective
  • Reduce customer attrition rates through the development and implementation of effective retention / repurchase strategies
  • Create and execute marketing strategies across all channels, driving the digital agenda and focussing including SEO/SEM, email, display advertising, and social
  • Measure and report on the performance of all marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Lead the development and execution of web analytics reporting, tracking, and drive for insights to maximize conversion and site ROI and to inform key decisions
  • Optimize email performance, including timing, frequency, segmentation and triggers in conjunction marketing automation opportunities

Manage adspend budget

  • Manage adspend unit cost for the company in line with strategic objectives
  • Achieve campaign efficiency
  • Ensure adspend forecasts are credible and in line with strategic objectives
  • Manage the adspend process to ensure efficiency gains are achieved

Process management

  • Ensure campaigns are successfully implemented
  • Propose and implement improvements within existing reports to reduce the turnaround time on data reports

Requirements

Qualifications & Accreditations

  • A Business Science / BComm / Marketing Degree / Humanities Degree

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years’ digital marketing experience. Proven working experience in digital marketing.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing print, SEO/SEM, email, and display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Omniture)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce analytics and metrics
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Excel
  • Previous experience managing, motivating and developing direct reports
